Classic & Vintage - help with purchase of 1978 Peugeot Competition

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I'm considering purchasing a 1978 Peugeot Competition. What does model bike usually sell for? What should I look for in making my purchase decision? Thanks in advance.
I paid about $140 for my 1980 Peugeot PKN-10E Competition several years ago. They are good bikes, but lack the collector appeal of the PX-10 Super Competition, so you should be able to get a good price on it. Look first for any evidence whatsoever of frame rust or collisoin damage. Second, make sure the (Stronglight) crankset and (French-threaded) bottom bracket are in good shape and that the rims run true. Pull the wheels and make sure you can spin the axles smoothly and easily. Look for evidence of a hack job, such as a bolt-on derailleur hanging claw necessitated by removal of the integral derailleur hanger.

$200 Max would get you a very good one. I picked mine up for $75-100 but put about $100-150 in it to make it run perfect. I've been riding it for several years now and it is still my favorite (over the Bianchi). It is really very nicely built and rides like an absolute dream. Not to mention, with fender mounts, and a what really must be a comfort geometry as road bikes go, a perfect city/commuter bike.
