Recreational & Family - Burley Piccolo--will Burley still produce it?

Given the recent restructuring of Burley to produce only bike trailers, does anyone know if they will continue to make the Burley Piccolo?

Checked with Burley today and was told that the Burley Piccolo production has been suspended and is likely never to be made again, at least by Burley. If you want one, check & see if any dealers have any--I doubt that they do, since they have been back-ordered for weeks. If you had one on backorder, it sounds likes you're out of luck. Check with your dealer if yours has been shipped--I was lucky, I got mine on September 4th, but a friend will have to find a used one.

hey i worked at burley and brazed the cable stops on and aligned the thing, as im typing this insted of making them, where all gone layed off and the last of the piccolo's was shipped two weeks ago, sorry.......

Sorry to hear about the layoff--the Piccolo I received on Sept. 4th must have been one of the last...end of an era! After looking over my new Piccolo, I must say that you did great work, steelboy. Thanks!

Are you ordering a Piccolo? See Steelboy's comments above--I called Burley and they have told me that Piccolo production is now 'suspended', which I assume means that eventually they will produce it overseas, not in Eugene, but that might not happen until next spring at the earliest. Burley's not saying much...they are going to concentrate on their bike trailer business only for now.

Update on Burley Piccolo Trailercycle: Burley is 'trying' to fill current backorder--SLOW process--not taking any new orders, will possibly produce it next spring, possibly overseas manufacture. Sounds like things are still up in the air on Piccolos!
