Nope!
Post a link or pics to the prototypes?

Its nice to have threads that arent pointless.

FitRider 921

This is all I can find.
http://gsport.kishmish.com/products/index.php?list=Pegs

EDIT: I forgot, Jim Bauer has been riding the prototypes.

FitRider 921

Anyone have any information? I am really curious about these pegs.

FuzzyRyder

Madman posted a link in another thread about them. It's to bikeguide, and on one of the last pages of the thread there is a picture of the Jim Bauer bike check from the November issue of Ride.

dooley

they're plastic

FitRider 921

Yeah I saw the Jim Bauer bike check but it does not describe the pegs, he just says that they are the g-sport prototypes.

mude

although dont ride anything g-sport makes, i would trust the company 100%

premiumbmx2005

i just put my pegs back on for ha ha's. i learned smiths and try icepicks down a ledge. needless to say i died.

mude

i wish we had some nice hubba ledges in my area. we have none. its terrible

premiumbmx2005

the one i have is 5 inches thick and about 4-5 feet long.

not the best, but its fun

mude

it'd still be nice to learn stuff on somthing rather then a normal ledge. spice it up a bit

FitRider 921

I still need to learn them. Those are the next tricks on my to-do list when I start riding again.

premiumbmx2005

the last time i rode pegs was around 2 years ago so it was whole new 'feeling'.theyre coming off soon but i like to play with em

FitRider 921

I love pegs. I would be so bored if I didn't have pegs.

racersk66

I haven't ridden pegs in over a year.

I have to admit, lately ive wanted to throw my pegs back on, but i cant find them, and i cant find my extension wrench either.
And quite frankly im too lazy too look for either of them.
Normally i just steal other peoples bikes that have pegs.

eightdip

I've been trying to learn icepicks, any help on these please?

Are you goog with manuals?
If so, just jump onto the ledge like a manual position, and if you start to lose it, set your front wheel down in a feeble.

They are hard, ive tried a few, but they mostly end being icepick "kissed the rail"(from tony hawk, haha) to feebles.

eightdip

So its kind of a hop to manual

FuzzyRyder

kinda, just hop on like you are going to feeble, but lean back.

eightdip

okies, ill try them soon

bmxrdr88

man, i've never ran pegs before. i just do dropout stuff, and pedal grinds.

FitRider 921

*Major bump*
Anyone know when they are coming out?
I wanna get my hands on them.

mude

did g-sport (they're made by oddy right?) have anything at interbike?

premiumbmx2005

yeah, the pegs

FuzzyRyder

Acctualy, the Plegs, and the G.L.A.N.D II. The Plegs are supposed to be out spring of 2007.

FitRider 921

plegs? is that PLastic pEGS? Eh, I might not even be riding by then anyways.

FuzzyRyder

Yep, plastic + pegs = plegs.

KinetikBiker

Why would you want plegs, they would kill themselves on any sort of non skatepark non skatelite of smooth coping grinds...

Dont your ride street or anything?

FitRider 921

They are cool and innovative, that's why I like them.

CMcMahon

If that were true, they probably wouldn't be having Jim Bauer testing them.

mude

im not gonna lie i feel like they would just shatter if you landed on a like a ledge or somthing

FitRider 921

Well, wait for testing... or just be like me and try to get your hands on them as soon as they come out. Good thing I didn't buy the kink lights when I wanted to. I saved my money for them.

KinetikBiker

Good point.
But:

I feel like you would be right too.

And i definatley think you would go through them quick, especially if you rode more than just skateparks and smooth handrails..

FitRider 921

You go through pretty much anything quick if you grind on rough surfaces

FuzzyRyder

Yeah, I grinded through a set of haro pegs in a day on a rough ledge. Acctually a few hours to be more exact, and thats steel. Obviously not as high quality as other pegs, but still.

mude

i've had the same pretty much generic nothing special tube of metal pegs for about a year and a half and i've pretty much grinded (or atempted) every kind of ruff surface and there still holding strong

FuzzyRyder

Yeah, those Haro pegs could have lasted a long time, but I was purposely trying to grind through them just to see how fast I could do it.

premiumbmx2005

i have haro pegs. they last long on metal but suck on concrete

FuzzyRyder

I grinded the hell out of my haro pegs haha, rough concret ledges at speed kills them fast.

eightdip

I hated my haro pegs, they were chrome plated and didn't slide well. Now i've got my primo binary's that came with my bike which are great and are still lasting me.

FuzzyRyder

The Fit dual material pegs that came on my bike are insanely light and slide super fast. I havent realy grinded anything rough with them yet though.

eightdip

Yeh i was supposed to get them with mine i think but the shop lost them so they sent me some primo binary's instead

FitRider 921

Are they the same ones that come on the Fit Pro? Mine are also pretty light and slide decent.

FuzzyRyder

No, the ones on the pro are just a solid cromoly peg.

FitRider 921

Damn, I guess that's why they have been wearing down a bit more than I would want to and don't slide too great... but they are pretty light.

George says the Plegs will last about a year under "normal" use. Street, Park, whatever. They also have a metal insert. And the plastic shell is replaceable. They sound pretty good. I'm just gonna miss the "Chink" sound.

I hated the "chink" because I am pretty rough when it comes to grinding because I pretty much slam my pegs onto whatever it is I am grinding and it's very loud. I'm a street hack.
