I've been waiting and waiting for bianchi to make their D2 Pista Alu frame available in the US. Alas, I understand it's only available in Europe. Does anyone know how to go about getting European frames shipped to the US? Is there a specific shop that imports, or can specifically order, Euro-exclusive frames?
I'm ready for a new frame, and would explore options other than the Bianchi. I'm partial to Italian frames.
Thanks!
I tried a while back to get a Euro-spec frame. Bianchi USA doesn't import any Euro models (at least they did not as of around 2 years ago). For all intents and purposes, Bianchi USA and Bianchi Europe operate as seperate entities, so I don't really see how you're going to make it happen without going through someone in the motherland.

That is the CF model, completely different than the alu version model the OP referenced.

Thanks Waldo. That's kind of what I had expected. Bummer.
Yeah, it's looks like a sweet ride. I love my Pista Concept, though...not a bad bike in its own right, though it is made in Taiwan, not Italy.

I've got the reparto corse (actually it's my boyfriend's), and I've always been a bianchi fan.
recneps, if you find a distributor in Italy that's willing to ship, let me know.

I'm actuatly going to try a friend of mine is going to be studying over there either next semester or the one after that. Im actuatly more interested in just the frameset. Id be happier with FSA cranks and some different wheels.
For anyone who hasnt seen it.

Hi,
Been a Bianchi fan for a very long time. Unfortunately their road racing (Reparto Corse) bikes don't fit me well any more. :(
However, I replaced my aging (Mexican) Benotto track frame with an '06 Pista Concept frame. Put all of my old parts onto the Pista Concept and it looks great. Sorry, no photos right now.
The D2 Pista does look very nice but not that much different than the Pista Concept, save the seat tube.

I like straight blade forks 10x better, but thats just comparing looks. I might settle on a 07 concept.

DC_Emily - shouldn't you be knee-deep in all things law school????
Hope that it going well for you.
As far as the D2s go, you might be able to swing one from a UK site as I have ordered from overseas before. It might take a few emails to find something and a shop that would work with you.
PS> I see you are racing now? Awesome!

The fork blades on my '06 Pista Concept are straight.

yeah I thought they had a little curve to them, I actuatly placed and order for an 07 pista concept after getting a good deal on a frame set. I think im going to order the Oval Concepts track fork(the same one on the D2) the wholesale on the fork is $300(****ing nuts) I will probably set her up close to the D2, same bars and stem basically, spot her out at DLV next season.

Dude, I'm up to my eyeballs in books and case law and memos and whathaveyou. It's alot of fun!! What do I have to show for it so far? A schedule so busy that I've lost six pounds. hrm, yea only took $24K to lose that weight.
I had a pretty decent season, two fourth place finishes being my best. I spent alotta weekends in Boston, but I still finished in the top 20 MABRA standings.
I'll check out some more uk sites. I didn't think about that option. Thanks! :)

Not a significant difference from the Pista Concept that I can tell. Why not just get a Concept?

Because its not the same bike. Plus with the D2 I wont go to the velodrome and see another just like it.
I want what I want ,dont reason with it.
Also the concept isnt the best street bike, The stiff alu would crack easily, I would never deliver on one.

Hey there, im trying to track down the D2 pista alu or failing that, just the stock Pista from the Bianchi usa website, only problem is that i'm in Canada, BC to be exact and finding anyone who stocks anything Bianchi is proving to be a pain in the ass! Any help you could give would be great.

Don't think those D2 Pista Al frames are available anywhere but Europe...

Those bikes are not very similiar. Do you mean a pista concept? It's apparently is out of stock most places.
