does anyone know anything about Magura forks?

the new Wotan looks to be something of a cool fork.

Something you could try if you had that kind of extra cash. The colors are nice.

I have the Asgard, and its awesome. Quality materials, even the valve cap is nice machined aluminum.

Kinda feels like a marzocchi

Why is everyone comparing to Marzocchi? I must admit, I'm not a big fan.

Besides, you can't say "how much do they cost, cheaper or more than marzocchi?" because I'm sure I can find you a Marzocchi that's much more expensive as well as cheaper.'

That's like saying "How does the Wotan compare to Rockshox, is it cheaper?" Well, I'm sure it is quite a bit more expensive than Rocksox if you compare to the Rockshox Dart...but it's waaaay cheaper than Rockshox when compared to a Sid World Cup.

Who knows but the point is this: You have to at least say what model or series of Marzocchi you want to compare it to if you are only interested in the $$$ aspect.

What about white brother forks or something. KonaRider24 said they're a bit expensive and costly to maintain. They look nice.

Magura forks are known for their value for money and low maintenance requirements. They used to have reputation for being slow to bed in due to the friction on the stanchions, but magura seem to have solved this in the past couple of years.

I haven't ridden any of the new models (Menja, lauren etc), but have used previous years forks, and would definitely recommend them on a performance vs cost basis, despite the fact that they weren't exactly the plushest forks around.

I use a 2005 Magura Phaon at the moment, which has taken far too much abuse. The travel adjust is the only thing that has broken, and that was after pretty serious crash on a downhill course.
