Mountain Biking - norco supercross

I am wondering which bike to get. The norco 5 hun of the 4by. I do urban riding and dirt jumping but i also like to do large doubles and freeriding. I'm not sure if i want a dulie or a hardtail. Everyone seems to be using a hardtail for jibbing. But everyone uses a dulie for doubles and gaps. Which one should i get? Thanx for your help.

I don't know who this everyone is but the everyone I know uses ht's for urban unless it is big. Here are some questions

1 - What would you feel confident on
2 - For what you do do you NEED a dually or do you want one
3 - which one is more confortable doing street. If you are jibbing and going for BMX style moves a ht may be the ticket but if you are doing doubles and huge gaps maybe a dually. Depends on your style and ability...
4 - Ignore everyone. He is an ass. Everyone is different and rides differently. Personally,for the style riding you described I would buy a ht in a second, but thats me.

Oh and the 5 hun ROCKS!!!! That is a sweet bike.

I'll add a little to that.... I don't understand why anyone would NEED a dualy for doubles and gaps....

Drops ok.. but think about it, the doubles are built why?, because when you build a backside(the landing jump) to the jump it is there to make everything smoother! When you land you use that landing as a transition to the ground...SMOOTHLY! Also look at the pro dirtjump guys, they ride rigid BMX bikes and go huge!!! No need for suspension!

The suspension can make up for some mistakes if you "case" the jump or something like that...but in my eyes, I like the feel of something solid when I jump, plus it's less bike to have to toss around in the air.

I have a HT that's sitting waiting to go back together...just so I can take it out and jump and street ride...but I also have a dualy...both are fun in their own way!! It really all depends on what you like! Good luck!
