Watch out for those cab drivers in VW's. They NEVER stop at a stop sign or light!!! They blast right through them. I screamed the entire time and he almost kicked me out onto the street.

Our intentino on this trip, first one since our boys were born, is to sit at the pool, drink and read books. Went with the all inclusive plan, so there is no reason to leave the resort. Thanks for the warning though. Had good cabbies in Huatulco and Acapulco, never been to Puerto Vallarta.

Last time i was there, i never drank anything but bottled water. I felt fine the whole time i was there. Yet two days after returning home, i got the worst intestinal distress of my life. I don't know what happened but, i'll never forget how bad it felt.

Enjoy, I'm heading that way in about 10 days--to the northern Sierra Madre Occidental--aka Monterrey area. I'll be there for 5 weeks consulting and overseeing people who are practicing the art of language acquisition through cultural immersion (they can't take Spanish classes before they go--unless they already took them long ago--and no classroom instruction down there).

Don't use Ice cubes in drinks. . . guess what water they use ?
(well I don't know if that applies to alcohol but its true for cokes).
