I was pleasantly surprised today when I passed the area where I crashed 12 days ago. Yesterday when I passed by it was brightly lit. The barrier that caused my crash was clearly visible but today there were poles attached to it. Here are pictures of the change http://tinyurl.com/s6lo8

Fix??? I think not. I went back and looked at your pictures from before. You can clearly see the bases that the posts are now on. They were there when it was put up. It looks like CalTrans left a job only partly finished, and you got injured. I'd take both sets of pictures and file a complaint with them. If you want, you might also file a claim for monetary damages for any money you had to pay. Going away and leaving a job half done like that is unacceptable. That separator looks high enough to cause a car to lose control.

I was thinking about filing a claim for loses. Had those posts been up before and the lighting up to the current level the accident would not have happened. The posts move easily and I bet a car could drive over them with minor or no damage.
This type of barrier discrimantes against 2 wheel vehicles. Guess I'm just relieved that it no longer has the booby trap quality.
