Road Cycling - SPD-SL Pedals

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Does anyone have any first hand experience with Shimano's new SPD-SL pedals (either the Ultegra or the Durace versions) ?
I've heard the 'hype' how it's Lance's new pedal and some brief internet blurbs about it. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any first hand reviews on them on roadbikereview.com ... so if anyone can comment on these, I would appreciate it.
I'm thinking of switching my Speedplay X3s for a pair of Ultegra SPD-SL pedals.

I have put a couple of customers on the Dura Ace model and so far so good. They are very similar to look pedals with a little smoother float feel to them. The cleats are easy to walk on if you do much of that and the pedals are reasonably light. Thumbs up here.
