The V-Brakes on my Giant Rincon were kind of worn out so I bought some Avid Single Digit 7 brakes from eBay. Hopefully they'll arrive soon. Should I upgrade my levers, too? Right now they're shimano - kind of a combo thing with the levers and the shifters all one unit. So, if I change my levers, I'd need to change my shifters. My levers and shifters seem to work ok now; the bike is three years old riding year-round, which includes a cold winter.
If I do change my levers/shifters, what would you suggest. My bike is an 24-speed, Alivio rd, not sure about the fd.
Thanks a lot...there's a lot of info on the web...I'm kind of overwhelmed and not sure what is compatible with what (i.e. xt, avid, deore, etc).
