You're stupid. I don't think there is anyone that has ever used those pedals that actually liked them.

Is the DK distortion smaller than the Odyssey JC? I wear a size 13 shoe and a small pedal wont cut it. I've seen the JC in person, but there aren't any DK dealers unless a long drive is in store. The JC is adequate in size, but I'd like the lightness of the DK if it isn't too much smaller.
Please, anyone know the answer/dimensions?

Just get the jim c's. The weight difference will be barely noticable, and the odyssey pedal is a far better, and more durable pedal.

The DK uses a funky design as far as I know - I think it has a bolt to tug on the pedal spindle that fastens to the other side of the hole in the cranks, and won't work if you have cranks with a closed hole. I might be thinking of a different one, though.
I also really doubt any pedal can come close to the Jim C for the price (or many for any price)
Have you considered the Mag Jim C's?

Dude I reckon their great pedals in that pricerange, if you don't wanna go higher stick with them.

MM2K, you are thinking of the right pedal. I was considering the Magnesium of each brand.

I've read consumer reviews that JC's shafts will bend. The DK's sport 14mm axles, and in theory, would hold up better under my weight. Thus it's down to size...
your finding every reason not to get the jc's. obviously you want the dk. so get it. these are all other peoples opinions. your the one that has to ride it so get what you think is better.

My original post is asking the overall size of the DK vs. JC's. I need a large surface area.

Well then i would think JC's have a bigger one...

The jc's are bigger, and thus better. Bigger is better.
Can I merge all the pedal threads into one big thread?
And then delete it?

I think we sent you a letter. If you go through the BMX threads, you'll find plenty about pedals.
I edited your sig for you too.

I don't think the surface area of pedals is something that usually goes in descriptions... you could go to a local shop that has one or both and measure them, and/or email one or both of the manufacturers. Although I kind of doubt DK would reply, but Oddyssey probably will.
Once you've been here a while you'll notice a few things:
Everyone picks on everyone else, but they're usually just screwing around.
No one can tolerate the new guy that hasn't noticed that his question has already been asked at least 10 times.
I spend a lot of time babysitting here, when I could be reading threads that are more worthwhile. This makes me cranky when people are stupid.
There's actually a lot of knowledge here, and some real talent. But it's mostly guys your age just being idiots on the internet.
Try to have fun, and don't take anything too personal.
