I'm guess I'm somewhat lucky, my work has 'flex time', meaing I can come anytime before 10ish, but to beat traffic, I usually leave at 5:50am on most days, but that means I leave at the end of the day way before everyone else and most school kids, and the ride home is also easier.
If I don't leave by 6am, I'll stay in bed and then leave around 9, usually traffic has calmed down enough for it to be a decent commute.

"Traffic" for me is usually a few rabbits or chipmunks while I take a nice 20 minute bike ride through the country to my office. I usually leave at about 6:45 or 7.

If I'm actually going into the office, I'm out the door by 6:00 or a little after to be at work before 7. Get a lot done before the whole place starts buzzing.

Or if it's like today, where I'm working VO, I'll sleep in until 6, wander downstairs with the 2 year old, get her some fruit to munch on while Noggin is on the tube, get the coffee brewing, enjoy some breakfast and the paper, then wander upstairs to the office around 7 am. I love that commute. Luckily I can do it 2 or 3 times a week in my job.

I get up for school at 6:30. Leave at 6:20-7am. And do not get home till around 4, mostly 5pm, or very rarely 6:10. I dont have a job yet, so=D

Leave at 8.15am, arrive 5-20 minutes later depending on whether I drive, ride or walk (distance to work is 1.7km).

Usually home by 5.45pm.

Though it once took me 45 minutes to drive due to the traffic.

Well, I'm still unemployed right now because of michigans very messed up economy, but when I am working, I'm usually out the door no later than 7:00 am, but sometimes I'll have to leave as early as 5:00 am, and once in a while even earlier.

I've started doing some freelance cartography from home in addition to my regular job, actually making a little more then my current job, even though it's only part time. Probably the best part is being to work anywhere, hopefully I can finagle this into something full time and leave the commute and my company behind...

Work at my new job starts at 10:00 am. If I leave at 9:10, I arrive there around 9:45, which gives me time to cool down and change. I haven't figured out the timing on the traffic lights yet.

Edit: I used to have a job which required me to be in the office between 5:30 and 5:45. I actually really enjoyed it, since it gave me the whole afternoon off. I'm sure there are people here working similar shifts.

When I drive, I leave the house anywhere between 7:30 and 8:15ish, depending on my mood and when I actually pulled myself outta bed. It's a 25-30min drive to the office, so do the math ;) These past couple weeks I've been in the office between 7:30 and 8, and leaving near 6, then working a couple hours at home. Yeah, fun stuff. Lotek, I'll split a buncha lottery tickets with ya--

When I ride in, I try to leave as close to 6 as possible, which gets me to the office about an hour later. Haven't ridden in in a few weeks. Thanks work, thanks.

Oh, once (or twice, sometimes three times) a week I drive 30mi to the client, and that takes me 45-60min. An no, I don't leave any earlier than I normally do. F em.

Today I start at 12pm, so leaving round 11:50am via bicycle, finish around 9pm, home 5 mins later.
Yeah, work is pretty close by, which is always nice, though not so much when you like riding and you'd like to spend more time doing it..! But it is nice when winter rolls around and its less fun riding in the freezing cold and snow.

I kinda wish I lived 5 miles or less from work. Then I'd just run into work.

But then that would require me to move to the most depressingly suburban part of town and away from the only part of this city I like.

I normally wake up at 5:00, start work at 5:30 and am done by 2:00

For four weeks I wake up 8:00pm, start work at 9:00 finish at 7:00 am and enjoy the morning till 11:00am - only four days, I take an hour "lunch" and get paid for forty hours. Finished 7:00am this morning and am free until 9:00pm Monday night. :)

Healthcare related IT. I could tell you more, but then there'd have to be a coronation and a whole bunch of ticked-off lesser termites.

I leave at 5pm, takes me about 14-16min to get there. Its only 4.2 miles, but traffic is a pain. I give myself enough time to cool down and get my cop uniform on. If I am still sweating when I put the uniform on, I will sweat all night. My ride home is actually shorter, its just too dangerous at 5 in the afternoon. I get off work at 6am, so its clear sailing. Its 3.5 miles home. I'm usually so tired I don't see how long it takes me. I try to eat and shower and be in bed by 7am.
