After removing the tire from my recently wrecked wheel (it's pretty F'ed up) I noticed that the part of the kevlar bead that was against the horrific crack in the rim seems to be kinked. It folds more easily there than any other place on the beads. Do I need to replace this tire or is that ok for a foldable bead?

Guess this one is hard to tell over the internet without pics. Took it to my favorite LBS and the head mechanic says it should be fine, but to pump it up 24 hours before my next ride and to watch it for a few rides. Still gotta replace the fork on my poor beat up bike, though.
