I am fixing up an old MTB for a friend of mine. A Specialized Rock Hopper with a Manitou Spyder Fork. It isn't the greatest fork, but he doesn't do serious off-roading. He just wants me to get the bike up and running in good shape for him.

Anyway, the Spyder R fork has only one Elastomer spring on the right side. I assume it needs two (one on each side). Well, the remaing spring is shot, and I need to replace both of them. The one that came with it is yellow.

Where can I get these for a decent price?

What is the proper name for these springs? I searched Ebay to no avail. :(

I'd call Manitou and ask them about it.

There are many different kinds of elastomer springs with different stiffness....soft, med, hard, etc.

"Elastomer spring" is the correct nomenclature.
