Whats going on here? I log on here in the first time in weeks and there is all this advertising happening. Time to get adblock going again I think. Thank god the advertising is at least relevant.
When is the spelling mistake on the front page which misspells Australia as Austrailia gonna get fixed? Its been like that for a month now!
Yeah Im having a bit of a ***** but I did like this site very much at one stage. *cry*
The ads wouldn't be so bad if they were on the right hand side instead of the left, coz everything has now been pushed over. For example, to get to the smilies on the reply to thread page, you now have to scroll across. Very annoying.
Oh well, another reason not to spend too much time on this forum I guess.
Well the guys still visit occasionally - as do I ;)
But I think they prefer their new home and as a relative newcomer to their little circle, it would be presumptuous of me to suggest they move back here.
Back to the ads ...the constantly changing image from the backcountry ad is particularly annoying - looks like I won't be ordering anything from them in a hurry.
The ads go away when you pony up for a red star. ;)

I put the new ads on the site so I can pay for the new servers. It costs me around $15k a year to keep the forums online, previous advertising was only covering a fraction of that cost.
The misspelling was only brought to my attention today. I fixed it within 5 minutes of seeing the mistake.

I moved the ads to the right side of the site. I think I prefer it like this as well. :)

i wish you all would come back to this forum :( ...yeah the ads suck and i agree should be on the right of page but all you guys made the place rock and the interaction with our seppo friends was eternally hilarious. i do miss those days...cyclingforums is cool and homely but feels a little 'local'...its nice to share our aussie quirkiness with the world i think :D Hey Exy, your job is to get the Seppos' to visit CF:)

man ru sure thats what you really want???:p...cyclingforums is cool and homely but feels a little 'local'...its nice to share our aussie quirkiness with the world i think
Your right:) , mainly observers, with the occasional relative comment. Very homely & I'm sure it is meant to be local. I guess BF started b4 CF hence the original Oz threads..........but when it is all said & done, if CF came b4 BF then BF would never have had Oz orientated threads...... only my observations.

I think its just the ads in the middle of a thread that get me, every time. You gotta make money somehow

yeah paul richards.
Paul is a cool dude...everytime I drop in there for something, we spend the next hour talking bikes...plays havoc with the 'lunch hour'! :D
WTF is this seppoism? Assface????? Existence, my dear, I am sadly disappointed in you.

Dobber!
yes one of my weaker moments dear matagi, i wholeheartedly and unequivocally retract 'assface' in direct reference to said intended subject matter and, hereforthwith, apply 'dunny budgie' :D
Dunny budgie is much more the thing. :D
You're forgiven, just don't do it again.;)
You always take his side. I hate you!
You always take his side. I hate you!
Now, now, are you going to behave, or do I have to bring out the naughty chair?:D
We like the naughty chair. That's the 2 person rocker, right?
We've got one, but man is it getting worn out.
