Well I am pretty excited I am going on my first vacation (besides trips home) in 17 years. 7 days all inclusive to puerto vallarta and a place called Mismaloya. A resort that has some picturesque shots and is fiarly secluded as far as resorts go.

Now I am wondering, if anyone has been to the area, if there is anything or anywhere that would be ideal to visit. In 7 days I don't have a tonne of time but I going to try and get some good solid sites in. I live in a resort town so I am not interested in the normal tour laden trips, I would prefer to be at least semi self sufficient.

Can't wait to be far enough away that I can't get paged back into work to fix something...wohooo

although, ive never had real tequilla, i ve heard it's very good.

I leave next saturday. I have a night stay in the city (bleh) and then I fly out Sunday Morning.

hahaha...

I have considered doing a tour of his facility when I dealt with his company. I hope you eventually get your money back. I ended up writing off about 200$ I gave him for an upgrade on a shock, he has still never called or even emailed me.

Don't worry about getting drunk in Puerto Plata. That won't happen with the stuff they give you on the all inclusive. Lots of Canadians and Germans there, and very few Americans.

The beaches are nice and the food is good. Don't bother leaving the resort. The Dominican is one of those lazy sit on the beach vacations. If sitting on the beach is your purpose for going there, you will love it.
