Mountain Biking - Need a new frame

So I really want a new frame. I do mostly DJ with some single track riding. I run single speed so it has to have horizontile dropouts. Not quite sure how much frames run nowadays with my criteria so basically throw anything out there. Thanks.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, I also ride a bit of street too.

Check out the Santa Cruz Chameleon. It just may be the perfect do it all bike. Oh, and it has horizontal dropouts.

What are you riding now?

Currently I'm riding this iron horse yakuza chimpira. Its very, very heavy. I need a lighter frame because this thing is killing me when jumping.

No it's not a dedicated jump bike. The op said he also wanted to ride some singletrack on it as well.I have a friend who rides a Chameleon and he jumps it as well as rides trails on it and it has help up well. Its a very versatile frame. Most pure jump bikes would suck on singletrack.

When was the last time you tried a jumping bike? I've never tried/owned one that sucked on singletrack.

And, what DJer would want a bike that can also be setup for XC racing? And he'll be running single speed anyway, so it's not going to matter what frame he has when it comes to pedaling.

I own a good jump bike.:rolleyes:Who said anything about XC racing?? If you have ever spent any time riding trails on a SS you would know the frame makes a world of difference. Don't get your undies in a bunch.

The Chameleon would actually be a really good choice! A good friend of mine just ordered that frame for the same purpose that you mentioned.

Ya a Chameleon what be almost perfect for what you are describing. Or if you want something alittle more DJ then check out the Transition Trail or Park.
