That looks like so much fun. bringing bikes on vacation is the best.
carleton, how long are you gone for? because you've been in bermuda for longer than a 'vacation' for most people. i was gonna say that your bike totally fits in there, but you already said it. now i have nothing useful to add, so i'm going to run away.
I want to move to the tropics, hurricanes be damned. :)
yeah, boogerspud was a long time ago.
you only hate me because you love me.

OH WOW.
Good pics and GREAT color choice with the rims.
I was in Bermuda earlier this year and freakin love the place.
The riding I bet can be a little sketchy as the roads aren't exactly wide and those taxi driver and freaking nuts... but it's such a cool island with so much to explore, I only WISH I could have biked while I was there.
no Way! i just got off the plane this am. I saw you yesterday just before horseshoe bay. You were stopped in one of those little turnouts.I, unfortunately didnt bring my bike with me so i was on a scooter with my girl. only fix i saw on the island was yours. how was it riding there? im def going back.

Man, sketch isn't the word.
I'd rather ride rush hour in downtown DC, NYC, SF, or BMore than Sunday afternoon here. The roads are SUPER narrow. So narrow that the government restricts cars to 66" wide. On one side of the road is a stone wall, the other side, a drop off into the ocean.

Ha! What a small world.
Yeah, I most likely have the only fix on the island. I took it to the only bike shop here (which is actually pretty sweet if you are a roadie or tri rider) and they looked at it like it was an alien.
Wow. That's pretty cool that you saw me.

If I saw that bike anywhere else I probably would not like the colors, but it looks perfect in those pictures. I am sure it would work in other places also, but the only other place that comes immediately to mind would be Coconut Grove in Miami or maybe Key West. Great pictures.

That bike rules. I don't like celeste, but you have made it work in my opinion!

Here is an example of how narrow the roads are. 90% of roads are two lane twistys like this. imagine that two cars passing are about 3 feet from clipping mirrors all the time. :
(BTW, This is after the hurricane.)

I should know by now to say hello. Now you gotta send us some pics of you with a coordinated pink and celeste bermuda short/tie/jacket/kneesocks outfit. Not to hijack your thread, but i would really like to go there more often as the flights from NYC are cheap. As you know, everything else there is not. Do you know of any cheap places to stay? I can't drop the dollars I did this weekend all that often.

Man, that's how they get ya with expensive accommodations. I don't know of any cheap accommodations. Priced do go down in the off season. One thing to consider is that LOTS of the places are simply add-on guest houses to family homes, not full-on hotels. Some people straight up rent rooms in their homes for extra cash. So, I'm sure that they will negotiate from the price that they publish on the web if you catch them at the right time. I'm sure that to them a last minute $60/night booking is better than $0/night. Just get them on the phone.
The off-season is approaching so bookings might get slim and you'd have good negotiation leverage.
http://www.usa3000.com/index.htm has round trip flights for just under $300 out of BWI and some other places...even for last minute bookings.
