I hang out everywhere (well, perhaps not winter cycling as I haven't quite grasped the concept of 'winter' just yet). There are some very nice trails in the vicinity of Murwillumbah (south of here - Murwillumbah, the economic, political, cultural and social hub of the known universe) :D

:D...you should take a trip someday just for the winter riding. Its an experience unto itself...

although I would take a beautiful sunny summer day anyday. :)

I too hail from the Seattle area...

young_biker, I'll have to put my recommendation in for the Tiger Mtn. area. It's fairly close and offers a lot of different types of riding. You also might like Tolt-MacDonald in Carnation. And of course one of the neatest places to go riding although it's a bit further out is Kachess Ridge. There's some nice riding across the sound too (Mt. Muller is a killer ride) and then there are the trails around Mt. Constitution on Orcas Island. I myself live right next to some nice trails (The Beaver Lake Trail System). They're not incredibly hard or challenging or anything and really just loop and twist around in the forest but they're literally outside my door so if I just want a quick ride to satisfy my craving, I only have to roll out of the garage and the trailhead is right there.

Sarasota, FL where we only have two seasons; Summer and Construction!

Lived here for the last 22 years. WOW! Well, except for the period of time I went to college at the UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA (GO GATORS!!). Lived in other places in FL for 7 years before moving to Sarasota.

Mtn biking here is scarce! We have to drive over an hour to get to anything decent! Over 2 to get to the good stuff! 10 hours to get to some actual mountains!

You should give some of the local trails a try...some be very difficult and fun...at the very least go around lost lake. Its as easy as the paved trails but you feel more attached to the area :)

Im in Toronto, Canada, would like to be Maelstroms Neighbor, but work and family wont allow... nor will my bank manager.

I ride mostly in the Don Valley its limited, but there is some decent semi technical XC. but its over ridden, which is too bad.

I never actually got a chance to ride in Ontario as I only started riding recently (last may). I plan to take a trip to Ontario with my bike just to give it a try. Always curious to see what my old homestead (Guelph area) offers besides some sweet bars :)

No never heard of it...

Oh and btw I am born and raised in Guelph ontario and moved to Whistler 3 winters ago...I ride mostly aggressive xc but am working on dj's, dh, trials and shore riding (I guess you could say light freeriding but that term is beginning to bug me). I love everything about cycling except non-technical runs :)

N54 33' W05 58'.

Commuting, fitness riding, riding to the gym and back, along the local riverpath, turbo training soon to monitor gains better.

Longer trips as fitness increases, and ass gets harder. ;)

Kodiak Island Alaska.

Riding style would probably be called harsh XC. Beautiful place to ride.

For wheels I am in the process of aquiring a Stumpy FSR comp.

I'll have some good pics once everything greens up here.
