Bicycle Mechanics - Noob Threadless Headset/Stem Qustion

As part of a follow-up fit tweak, my lbs installed a new stem. It is slightly off center (not drastic, just slightly noticeable). My question is: if a loosen the pinch bolts a little to center the stem, will I affect the headset adjustment and need to re-adjust?

Of course, I could just stop noticing the slight misalignment. Thanks in advance for your advice.

That should be a back job order for your LBS. After all, they are responsible for making the stem askew. That way, any problems with the hardware will be their responsibility. I tend to be obsessive-compulsive with these things. I probably will get very irritated over even the the slightest misalignment.

If you don't disturb the top cap adjusting bolt, you should be able to loosen the stem fixing bolts and recenter your bars without changing the headset's adjustment.

Foolish heart, it is annoying but if it is a simple fix, I hate to take it to the shop.

HillRider, sorry for not being clear, the stem is misaligned with the front wheel. No problem with the handlebar position.
