Ok so i'm posting this question for a friend. He recently got a 03 Giant DH team off ebay and the frame requires a 12mm through axle. Ok, so he had Ride-This build up a wheel for him using a Atomlab G.I. rear hub. The hub came with a 10mm bolt on axle but the site says it can convert into a 12mm through axle. So he got the wheel and he says there is no possible way this hub can convert. I have not seen the hub but i'm guessing you have to remove the 10mm axle, but he can't figure out how to do that!!

Heres a picture and the site where he got it from

Ok so I think I figured it out because he got 12mm adapters for the hub but those adapters only go onto the 10mm axle to make it larger. So its not a through axle what so ever, there for they lie and it will not work.

Are there even such things a 12mm dropouts, cuz Ive never herd of em.

There are a few bikes with 12mm dropouts. I would suggest you give Atomic Laboritories a call. They, in my experiance, have always been very helpfull.

Here is their site AtomLab2006 (http://www.atomlab.com/)

I would say drop them an email first, they usually respond in a day or two. If not then give them a call.
