A little info
"The World's Longest Downhill Cross-Country Race" returns after a 12-year absence This legendary event also features the official the NORBA Idaho State & Northwest Region Singlespeed Championships. The singlespeeders will start at 10:30 am and hammer on their own, unique 10-mile cross-country loop, which will wind around and take them to the top of Deer Point, where they will begin the long, 16.5 mile, 4,100 vertical foot descent down to Boise. Nipping at their heels will be all other cross-country mountain bikers, who will ride the Bogus Basin Quad lift to the top of Deer Point where they will begin their own, amazing 16.5 mile Banzai downhill adventure. The Banzai finishes up with a HUGE finish line party at the Boise Co-Op and is the Wild Rockies season finale for both the cross-county and downhill Series. Dual Free Competition will be set up at the finish, which will also have music, food, bunny hopping and flaming blue alligators. Flaming blue alligators? You won’t want to miss this one.
Location: Starts at Bogus Basin Mountain Resort and finishes at Boise Co-Op downtown.
Times:
Bomber Downhill - 8:00am
Singlespeed Championship - 11:00am
Bogus to Boise Banzai - High Noon
Has anyone ever done this? I am very interested in doing it. I have a 06 P2 and with my bmx background I think this would be very fun and challenging. I would just do the downhill portion since my p2 sucks at climbing.
Any tips or any information is appreciated
