I have an idea for a superbright headlight and brakelight!!! Buy 2 superbright leds (one red one white) and 2 AAA batterys. Take the reflectors off your bike and get a drill bit that matches the size of the led. Drill a hole into the back (but not all the way through) of each reflector and stick the leds in there and secure them with some crazy glue. Then tape the battery on and do a little bit of soldering, and VOILA!!! Superbright headlight and brakelight. When I make mine I'll post pics.

Hmmm. make some carbon fiber wheels if you can. I 've seen 'em for $1200-$1300 maybe! And a carbon fiber bike, I've seen Ginats on sale(105) as low as $1300. That's alot of saving. Maybe start by saving on the batteries!:D

LEDs require a specific reflector design to make them useable as headlights. Even, then, they aren't that great. It might work for the rear, though, as a "to-be-seen" light.
