Mountain Biking - Did I get a good deal? (IronHorse Warrior)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I drove down to the local sports dealer today and bought a Iron horse Warrior (hardtail) for 300 bucks.
Upon arriving back at the house,I searched "Iron horse Warrior" on google to see how much it fetched online. To my surprise, the warriors were like 500, 600 bucks! I have no knowlege whatsoever about bikes, so I cant confirm that my bike IS the bike online.
Could you guys help me?
All I know is that myt bike has Rock Shox forks, truvativ cranksets, metal pedals (that rhymes!) WTB a saddle and disc brakes on both wheels. Its Grey, and it says Ironhorse Warrior TeamSE on the sides.
If it IS the really expensive one, I guess Im a lucky guy :)

Some bikes are made especially for a certain retailer, This may be one of them, but don't get caught up in overanilizing the deal. Just get out and enjoy! If the bike get's you on the trail, and back, It's worth the money!
P.S. It sounds like a solid buy!

any Iron Horse bike stikered "LE" is a special makeup for big chain stores amd is generally the lowest in the line. That's why you can't find that bike on IH's website, it dosen't really exist.

I believe that this was a bike sold by Dick's Sporting goods.
The low price probably means that you got a close-out deal so well done! $300 for a bike with a Rock Shox fork and Truvativ bits is a great deal. Do you have a full parts list by chance?

Yeah, I got it from dicks

Here (http://www.airfreetires.com/specs/) would be a good place to start. The Warrior came in many models..... your's is an SE am I correct?
When do we get to see some pics?:)
ive heard some low end disc breaks that come on < $500 bikes can really suck, so if that's not the case and yours are pretty good, i'd say thats a great deal! i was considering Iron horse Warrior with RockShox and disc brakes but i ended up with a trek, i still think i could have been happy and saved money on an iron horse

A kid in my bike club has a bike like that. Here's what you need to do. Get your butt on that seat and get out and ride it.Have fun!
:) thanks!
Its clean because I havent taken it out to the trail yet. I'm planning to go this weekend.
I live in Indiana, so we dont have alot of mountains.Im gonna have to do some searches for decent trails.
For the next 4 days however, Im using it as a commuter.

Why does that MX 2 caliper say IH 2?
zootia, just wondering, what is the most expensive bike you've seen?
I wouldnt know a expensive bike when I saw one. I dunno anything about bikes.. I've rode walmart bikes all my life and this is my first "expensive" bike.
I still kinda think 300 was was WAY overkill for a bike... All I do is ride it to school and back.

Here's one reason to get a $2500 + bike. :D

You could also choose other routes, like being an XC racer and spend tones of money to get the lightest of the lightest bike parts.
Or you could be a bike trials rider like me. Here's what that is:

You could fall into many other categories of mountain biking, and still spend plenty on a bike. It feels great :D
