Advocacy & Safety - Man Threatens Bikers, Gets Hit With Car

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

FYI: The Associated Press sent out an interesting piece last Saturday.
Here's a fair-use (partial) quote that links to the full article on AP's site:
PITTSBURG, Calif. (AP) -- An alleged drunken motorist who brandished a pool cue while driving at a group ... was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and driving under the influence, told authorities he was offended ... "It was his impression that they thought they were better than him," Yox said. "They were irritating to him and he felt he needed to do something about it." Some people's idiocy never ceases to amaze me!
"It was his impression that they thought they were better than him,"
This is unintentional comedy gold.

Can there be anything funnier? To have someone get out of their car, yell "Do you all think you are better than me?" and then be promptly run over by his own car. How do you respond to something like that? It's new. It's creative. I say give the guy some bonus points.
A candidate for the Darwin site, surely

And in the end they are the ones who pull him free, showing that on a moral level at least they are quite a bit better than him.

This is the kind of person who deserves to get laughed at............while you're rescuing him from his own idiocy, of course.

He may have a defense, folks. Clearly, we ARE better than him, so his impression was correct. Therefore, he was lucid and in possession of his (rather limited) faculties.
:D
Good illustration of the concept of carma.

Probably Hells Angels, and since the guy was plastered they decided they should help him. Guy involved was lucky he did not say anything nasty about their bikes.
