Classic & Vintage - Old SCO roadster possibly being disposed by member on Commuter forums

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Worth it to have a look - can easily be revived. Not sure where the fellow is located.

If nothing else, some C&V'ers ought to bite into the anti-vintage idiots on that thread.

Kurt,
Went over to that thread - I always thought 1%er bikers were supposed to be the ultimate bigoted, narrow-mided people in creation. That commuter thread makes the Outlaws I ride with sound like new-age liberals. Sheesh!

Hello Syke,
Perhaps in the cycling world, but I've seen tons worse in the communities of HO scale model railroaders and overwhelmingly in the Microsoft Train Simulator community. As an ex-member of both communities, the Commuter folks are tame.

The guy is in Finland.
Boy, those folks are hostile, aren't they? I did bite, in a rather friendly sort of way. :D

Which only goes to show, if you're in a society where the possibility of real violence is real, people tend to be awfully polite. Conversely, go into any situation where the odds of getting one's face punched into just ain't going to happen, and you get to put up with all sorts of obstreperous jerks. Who won't go away, nor quiet down, because they know nobody's going to do anything to limit them.
Back in February, I attended my first bicycle swap meet in MD, and was horrified at the behavior of the participants. Skinny, unwashed neo-hippies elbowing their way past you to get to the table first, etc. I'd just love to see them try the same behavior at a Harley swap meet.
Welcome to why I live the way I do.
And I shouldn't be surprise, having spent 26 years of science fiction conventions. Talk about overgrown children . . . .

I resemble that remark (excpet the washing part and the neo-hippie... WTF is that, anyhoo? My nappy head might make me a member of such a cult, tho)... you would remember my elbows, though. I've been told they hurt.
