Well,
Here is the latest OCLV Trek I've decided to add to the collection. 2002 Trek 5500 OCLV Carbon Fiber Trek with full Dura Ace. It has some scraps and scratches, but is still in fairly good shape and mechanically sound except for a creaky bottom bracket assembly. I've already ordered a new seat. The stem and handle bars also need replacing as they are not the correct length and size for me. Needs new bar tape also. But I got a good price on it and it rides great! I threw my pedals on it tonight and went for a nice 18 mile ride before it got dark. I love the way these things handle! WOOO WHOOOO!! BABY!!!!

Cool. I was about to ask you whether you decided to get your friend's Trek.
You really like the Trek road bikes, eh? :p

I can notice a few subtle differences in this bike, since it still has the aluminum seat post (more harsh) and some crappy Deda handle bars, but with a few quick seat adjustments I jumped on it and it felt just like my other two. Awesome. The 2002 Dura Ace stuff is nice, but doesn't "feel" noticeably different than my 04 and 05 Ultegra stuff, so I'm thinking the technology trickled down and it's probably a wash.
But, yea I couldn't pass it up. I just love the way these handbuilt frames ride.

Hee hee
I always find the time to ride. But having more than one road bike definately has it's advantages. Three of them does create a dilema when the weather is nice though....hmmmm.. which bike to ride today?:p
This one is the oldest and is not "pristine" like my other two, so I think it will get it share of rides from me.
