Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I wouldn't mind having some kind of registration but I would be very against an age restriction on biking. I'm not old enough to drive yet so I ride my bike alot of places along with regular riding just to have fun. Just because im not an adult yet does that automaticly mean that i'm not a safe enough rider to be on any roads?

Do you know all of the laws pertaining to cycling on the roads?
Would you be willing to submit to a test written test to prove that you know those laws?
Would you be willing to submit to a riding test to prove that you are physically adept enough to ride on the road?
Young people tend to be more carefree, and less aware of the dangers around them.
On the other side, if trained properly the are often more capable of avoiding those dangers,
due to faster reflexes, and less fear induced panic.
The term Adult doesnt really count, I am legally an adult , but if there is a way to measure maturity, I am sure I would fail the test.:)
