Mountain Biking - HFX-9 Carbon

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Question. I recently purchased a bike and was told the brakes I have are the HFX-9 Carbons. They are older brakes so I'm wondering did Hayes make the Carbon version with aluminum levers? The new carbons seem to have the black levers.
Any incite on this would be appreciated.
The levers are supposed to be carbon, the guy lied to you. As far as I know( which isn't alot) this is the first year they did hfx-9 carbons.

Yea the guy was mistaking, because the were only made with carbon lever. But there is no diffrece between HFX 9s and HFX 9 Carbon, other than one has carbon levers.

that's not true at all. I bought mine at least a year ago. My friend has had his for a couple of years.
Maybe you're thinking of the Juicy carbon? That brake is new this year.
Thanks for the responses. At the end of the day, its not a big deal other than savings of a few grams at best. I was just curious. Maybe I'll email Hayes and asked them direct. They should know.
