BMX - Odyssey PACT Chain tensioners

How do they work, i've bought them and i have no idea how they actually work!

just like any ofhter chain tensioner. you put the roudn ciruclar part on the axle of the back wheel.put the part that sicks out faceing the wheel. "loosen" the bolt.

But you could just return them becuase you dont really need chain tensioners, they just add weight and save a little time when your readjusting your back wheel.
But its also another tool you have to carry in your backpack or whatever...

Well i need them as i have a small problem with chain tension in that i keep losing it even if my bolts are tight. And what do you mean "loosen" the bolt mude?

as in. turn it like you would if you wantedto unscrew it and take it out. (which should be to the left)

Try sanding your dropouts where the axle nut goes around, and sanding the inside of the drop out.

Put some slack in your chain. And tightening them will pull your wheel back.

you can also use them to push the axle away from the drop

Yes but i want some tightness in my chain so theoretically i tighten the chain tensioners bolts. They only go so far and then they are screwing into the axel instead of pulling the wheel back

Or using a half link or something, if that doenst work.

I haven't figured out how they can hit the axle. Photos! We need photos!

I tried slamming my rear wheel and putting in a half think, but my chain was still to short so I went back to the stock lenght. what a pain in the ass that is. I was able to get the chain together but it was so incredibly tight it wouldn't have been good to ride it like that.

yeh ive got a half link but its still to slack at the front of the dropouts. I'll post some pics tomorow for you guys to see
