A few weeks ago I found what I thought to be a good deal on a Habanero titanium MTB. I don't know a lot about mountain bikes but thought for $700 I was getting a nice bike. The bike has a full Shimano Deore LX group, with LX hubs laced to Mavic rims. The fork was a cheap one, a steel Surley fixed fork. I thought I was going to ride it and after a week or so decided that the bike was a smidge too big and that I should have put the money toward different things (Cross tires, hitch rack, etc.) I turned around and tried selling the bike on ebay, but have not had any takers. The first auction someone actually won for $700, but they lived in South Korea and have refused to pay. I relisted the bike for $625 and figured I would bite the bullet and lose a little money. No one bid. No one. I have just relisted the bike for $550. If it sells for this amount I will take a minimum of a $150 loss. I have tried to get the original bidder to pay, and have since filed an unpaid item claim. Again, as a roadie I thought this would be a good bike. Am I wrong? The pictures are below, tell me what you think. Please! This thing is killing me! I just paid for an upgraded membership so I will also be listing this in thr for sale forum as soon as I get me red star :) I should have upgraded earlier anyway. Let me know what you think.
