My new cross bike is nearly complete. Just waiting on wheels now.... But I of course slapped a set of road wheels on there and some borrowed clincher cross tires to get some saddle time in on it anyhow :)
Details:
2007 Redline Conquest Pro size 56
Specialized Pro Set Stem 120mm
Specialized Pave II seat post
Specialized Toupe (White!) Saddle
Campy Veloce 2006 Shifters, FD, RD
Campy Centaur cassette 12-25
Chorus chain
Cane Creek SCX-5 brakes
Specialized cross top levers
FSA Gossamer compact crankset (175mm) with 48/38 rings (I call it the Frankencrank :) because it has a black Salsa inner ring and a silver Race Face outter! But hey... it looks cool. ;) )
Shimano 520 Pedals (I used a set of Candy pedals my first race and they were TERRIBLE... way too much trouble to get in and out of)
Wheelset that hasn't arrived yet: Velocity Escape rims, laced 28 radial front/28 rear with DT super comp spokes, Speedcific Serenity hubs. 1400 grams baby :)
Tufo Prestige 32mm Tubulars.
Just playing around on it last night was fantastic... I'm taking it out to some single track tonight to really beat on it. If all goes well, I'll be racing it this weekend. No more lugging the MTB up hills and over barriers :)
