Foo - Amazing how a machine can get me so angry....

Yeah, I nearly beat the crap out of a machine about 10 mins ago....

I had $5 for lunch....HAD.

Tried to buy a $1.50 burrito.

Machine gave me a quarter change for a $5 bill.....

...god I hate Canteen and their crappy machines.....this is not the first time a machine has failed to give even remotely close to adequate change, or you got moldy food, or both.


I need to start packing my own lunches....Canteen Vending, I hope you guys wake up one morning, only to discover someone set your butts on fire.

i hate when the bag of chips or whatever is dangling there and doesn't drop into the tray properly. it only seems to happen when there are a bunch of people around and there you are banging and shaking the machine. you feel like an idiot, but then again, you can't let the stupid machine win. urg!

I do feel your pain. I don't really buy things out of vending machines alot, but the few times I have they screwed me over.

They finally implemented a plan to let our cafeteria handle money returns for machines that steal money. If your money gets eaten, go to cafe, fill out form of which machine, date and how much and cafeterial will refund.

They finally implemented a plan to let our cafeteria handle money returns for machines that steal money. If your money gets eaten, go to cafe, fill out form of which machine, date and how much and cafeterial will refund.

They do this here as well, but it's such a regular occurance, that I think they might as well just have a roach coach come around to serve us grub.

Vending machines are like gambling machines. You put money in and sometimes it gives you money back!

I worked with a guy who got pissed at the vending machine and broke the window out. It cost him over a $1000 for damages. So make sure there are no cameras and nobody is watching.

Heh, I have had the other machine (the drink machine) tell me to remove my drink once, after it took my money and refused to give me my drink.

I found out if I side kick it hard enough it would spit out a gatorade and a random can as well...so that's my way of dealing with that piece of junk. The vending guys seemed to have noticed how the machine was being smushed into the wall and bolted it down now....that's lead to it dropping an extra can from time to time now :p

That scene was just about the awesomest movie scene ever. The thing that makes it so good is that I've got a printer here at work that comes up with the same error message from time to time (What the HELL does PC Load Letter mean?!?!?!)

Oh, and the music made the scene pretty awesome as well. I mean, how can you go wrong with a bunch of white guys kicking the crap out of a printer to the tune of hardcore gangsta rap? Time to go dig out my copy of the soundtrack. . . . :D

Another scene that's nearly as good is the slow-mo sequence when they're actually installing the virus. :D The emphasis placed on the reverberating sounds is just pure perfection.

The soundtrack is somehow not satisfying enough. I may have to watch it when I get home tonight. . .

The best part of Office Space was when Michael was talking to the Bobs, and told them to just call him "Mike".

Many years ago, when I was at a mall with my friend at a mall, we went down to the basement to use the bathroom. Going down the steps we heard these loud banging noises. When we got to the last step, we saw some guy was barely holding up a vending machine, that was falling over onto him. He was fire engine red, sweat pouring off him, and he was shaking.

When he saw us, he gave one last big heave, and the machine fell back againts the wall, and made a really loud bang. Then he adjusted his shirt, dusted himself off, took only the one bag of chips he wanted, even though half the stuff fell down, and started walking away all cool, like nothing happened.

Then some guy came bursting out of the offices and yelled, "HEY! Whats going on here??!!!!". The guy at the vending machine, my friend and I all looked at each other, then took off running.
