Why is Kona using Rock Shox instead of Fox for the 2007 Kula line? Is there any particular reason for the change? Was it a cost issue or quality issue?
Just curious.
Thanks.

My guess is cost.

nothing against fox forks but anything with the label fox makes the cost go up 10 fold. You should thank every tom, dick and harry for having fox stickers, shirts, pants, etc, etc for the cost being so much.

I'll never own anything fox just for the reason that it's plastered everywere and it makes my eye's hurt just too look at a fox symbol. Go rockshox.

Is that on the Kula deluxe (and higher), or just the Kula?

Fox clothing is in no way affiliated w/ Fox Racing Shox...

I felt that way for the longest time, with the exception of rear shocks since they came on the frames I liked. I refused to purchase a fox fork, I didn't want to have what everyone else had and I honestly didn't think they could be that much better. Then I gave in and rode a bike with a fox on it for a little while. Soon after I ordered my first Fox, an F100x. Now nothing else will do for me now. I can't stand Marzocchi (I've had terrible experience with them), I don't care much for manitou, Rock Shox are very nice, just not really what I'm looking for. Actually, the only other forks I would run would be White Brothers.

Why not Pace? Light, supposedly stiff...(it's what I'm looking at now for my light bike)

Honestly I didn't even think of them. I would like to try one out to see how it performs. I'm all for a light and stiff fork.
