The Free radical's problem was excessive flex but this is non-issue with the extended frame being made of chromoly. I wonder if this is the end of a very good product, Xtracycle!

Well, Surly and Xtracycle are working together on this. Also not everyone wants a bike that can just be a SUB. The free radical you can put on for when you need it and then take it off and have your bike back to normal.

With this, you get a bike that is designed to be that long, so it should be stronger and possibly lighter.

That bike pisses me off, I was always sure that at 50cm the chainstays on my touring bike were longer than anyone else. Now I got to build another one!
