i just was thinking do tires have a lifespan i meen if they dont get riped to shreads or dryrot is there a time to replace them? does the rubber break down on a molecular level after so many miles?

i would imagine that a cold set natural rubber tire like the veloflex clinchers could theoretically have a problem. however, since the rubber in most tires are vulcanized, it's essentially a non issue... unless you're using some old ass tires you found in an attic.

if you see cracking in the sidewalls replace them.
