Post your ride reports. I can't do this ride, but I'd like to check it out next year.

ride report...
this was a really nice ride, this was my first time doing this ride and i think i would do it again. the roads were clean, smooth, and well paved. i did the 50 miles and it ok but the last 10 miles were the hardest cause alot of hills but other than that the ride itself was nice. bike new york sure did a good job organizing the event, the rest stops were fully stocked with food, water, EMS, bike repair.

I did the Century. It was a beautiful ride and like Tankman said, the last miles were hilly. A friend of mine estimated that the Century was about 3000 feet of climbing. The event was well organized and the rest stops did have food. They weren't the best in terms of variety but there was food. There was the typical Peanut butter and Jelly sandwiches, banannas, oranges but they had the same cookies at every rest stop. I like to see some trail mix and variety of baked goods, bagels. The only disappointment was the pre-ride food. The only thing there was some awful "healthy" bread. The good news is that the banannas were only 10 miles away. Overall, this was a really nice ride!
Did the 50 on the Twin Lights too...friends were tooooo late for me to get in the 75 I wanted! But...after seeing those hills at the end...I think I should shut up and be grateful...they were tough for those of us from down south jersey!! Walked the end of that last hill! couldn't get enough momentum to pass a couple of others...and rather than bonk, fall over and be REALLY embarrassed...I walked the last 100 feet! All in all the ride was excellent...could have used another cop or two at a few of the intersections...but costs, manpower etc. Will work on my climbing skills and try again next year! K
