Introductions - Greetings from the Garden State

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Just a quick hello! Eleven minutes to quitting time!! and then off to meet a friend for a quick ride before the darn sun sets!!! maybe get in 20 if were lucky! Road by the hour as a kid, as many of you have said, would ride a lot in college (read - no money - no car etc.) 18 miles to mom & dads for lunch or dinner and then back...probably burned off most of what I ate there!!! This year got tired of spinning classes...got a road bike and took off! 1650 miles so far and counting!! Not bad for 50 year old female!!

Welcome to BikeForums! It took a few seconds for me to realize that NJ was the Garden State (it's been a long week).
welcome!

Yeah...you've gotta be Jersey....you didn't ask what exit!!! Central currently....Below Bordentown...don't blink don't look left as you go by on Rt 130...Roebling! Doing the BBBS 10/0/06....Gotta get a SOUTH Jersey Century in before the year is over! Did a NORTH jersey ride on 9/30/06....Ouch! Their idea of "rolling" is my idea of HILLS!!! Great ride thought...the Twin Lights! Where do you ride currently...Have you ever done the Bucks County Covered Bridge ride....the elevation profile makes my hands sweat!!
too bad you missed (did you?) the south jersey wheelmen's "jersey devel" century (centerton, nj) 9/16/6 or shore cycle club's century (bellplaine, lake nummy, nj) yesterday 9/30/6!
seabreee is comming. (10/7/6), in De., don't think i'll be there, but pretty flat roads there as well!

thanks...! You just reminded me....I was supposed to do my first century during the MS150...and MISSEd the turn off!! Didn't realize it till later...like 6 miles past...Probably the only person crying not for joy or pain cause they rode too much...but not doing enough on day one...Didn't find the humor in it till the next day!!1 But thanks for reminding me!! And thanks for the heads up on the other rides...things to look out for for next year...October is pretty booked...BBBS, Bucks County Coverd Bridge Ride, and I think there's another one in there....if not I'll find one !! or just ride to the shore and get one of the boys to pick Mom up! Ain't that what they're for???? K
