How many miles have you managed to squeeze out of your bike(s) before replacing it and how much money was put out for the purchase of the bike?

My best,

I put out $90 (CDN) for a road bike at a police bike auction (I have no idea how many miles were on it when I bought it) and it lasted 11 years and 53,000 kms. before the frame collapsed from within from rust. (it was my wet weather commuter that stayed out in the rain while I worked, next time I'll park under cover!)

At $90 it sure was. Most bidders didn't understand the bike was high quality.

I did replace the fork (after it had rusted out a year before the frame gave way), the left side crank, 2 front wheels, 3 rear wheels, 4 derailers and 10 drivetrains. :D :D :D
