Clydesdales/Athenas (200+ lb / 91+ kg) - Spinner Saturday, anybody interested?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I'm running a database over on my blogs called Spinner Saturday. I track raw miles and graph them. If you are interested in participating, I can add you to the database with no problem at all. Just report you miles to me weekly by Saturday night, I then process the data over the weekend and post the graphs and report on Mondays on my blog. Just let me know how you want to be identified (username) and I can add you. No charge for this as it helps me stay motivated as well! I'll keep running the DB until it gets too big for me to handle, but until then, it's available! I can also post the charts here on BF as well if you are interested, through a photohosting.:D

Hmm, cool idea. I don't have a cyclocomputer though, so it would be from gmaps-pedometer.

That would be fine. Basically, with GMaps Pedometer, you'll only be turning in what's called Geodesic miles. On shorter rides, that won't matter much, but on longer rides, you can figure for every 100 miles, you can add 10 "real" miles to the GMaps "surveyed" miles. :D

Are you aware that spinner Saturday is a deal that escort services run on the weekends? :D
Not that I would know.... :o

here is a sample of the charting, just miles and aliases. No connection with any escort service. Yhese riders on the chart are scattered around ranging from TX to Australia. All cyclists I've met through my blog.

I say Tayfur is an outlier and should be removed to make everyone else feel better :D

Sounds fun, put me in as: (51)

I usually do 100+ miles a week, but this week I was rained out a day, so 83 miles for me :)

Can you PM your email address so I can send you weekly updates?

Tayfur is NOT doing 2,000 miles per week!

No.....He doesn't regularily post, he's a med student in Istanbul, Turkey and has time issues. That 2000 mile line is the group total. I only have so many colors available for the graphing bars is all! There's also a table of miles posted on my blog to help out with making sense of the charts!:D Essentially, there's a weekly total and a monthly total. September charts are only covering 2 weeks because I had to take a hiatus from the DB due to school demands. You'll see how it works as time goes.
