Anyone gadget geeks here have motionbased accounts to track your rides that you'd be willing to post? It'd be fun to see the rides y'all do as I'm always looking for new rides, and I'd really like to see what the GMR and Baldy climbs are all about.

Here's my out and back ride from last saturday on the PCH going north/west from Topanga.

Post em if you've got em!

Thanks. I think I can beat that next year. I am a long way from Levi!

Love motion based. My company provides the maps behind the site.

I thought The Bear was only 9,800'ish feet? Most of the readings posted on the site don't register 10,900. I'll have to check 'em out again.

The edge reads high on elevation. But the time is still the time.

The Edge records elevation gain as feet travelled while going uphill rather than maximum elevation achieved. On my PCH ride, I had something like 1500 feet of climbing. There's nothing over a couple hundred feet on that ride. In Sir - L' s case, the the max elevation was 9800, but he got there by climbing up and down in a few cases, so it worked out to just about 11k of actual climbing. Of course, I'm certainly not saying it measures perfectly.

Thanks for the sharing and keep em coming!

Yeah, I was just wondering which one was inaccurate? Still better than my system of holding my thumb up after licking it a couple of times!:D
