Greetings,

I can't seem to get the math quite worked out so I'll turn here for some tips/advice. I just picked up a used Nishiki time trial frame (frame, front fork, headset, front wheel with tire installed and rear wheel) - I've been wanting one of these "funny bikes" ever since I saw one in the late 80's, but I digress.

The bike came with a 24 inch front wheel and 700c rear wheel. Some questions:

- How close in size is a 24 inch rim to a 650c rim?

- Anyone know of a source for 24 inch tires and tubes?

700 is sometimes called a 28" wheel. 650 is a 26" wheel. 600 is a type of 24" wheel, but may not be the same. Check the ERTRO numbers on the rim and tyre.
FWIW, if it is the same rim size, Terry bikes use a 24" front wheel, and they sell a couple different 24" tyres. Any Terry dealer should have them. Also, 24" tubulars are still available, and somebody told me that the 24" size is common for performance wheelchairs, too.

Thanks for the replies folks, I appreciate it. One thing I didn't want to do is get the bike and then not be able to fine tires for it :)
