Touring - Looking for a very popular cycling destination ?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hi,

I cycled the oregon coast a few years ago and I liked it very much because although I was alone there where so many other people cycling the same route that I never felt alone. In the evenings there were tens of bikers staying at the same camp grounds.
Some areas may be popular among cyclists but if it is just a touristic area without one popular route, then I may only come across other bikers (at an intersection or going the other way,....).

I am also thinking of "Santiago de Compostela" which is probably busy with bikers going the same way (south west).

I would like to find other very popular cycling destinations.(I am not interested in commercial tours).

Thanks for reading my post.

Tuscany, I was there a couple days ago. I saw the most cyclists coming into Spello.

Two words: New Zealand. I don't think I went a day in five weeks without seeing another cyclist.
