Books, Movies, Music & Entertainment - My youngest brother will be on "SNL" tonight!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

My brother Ted is a touring support musician for the Las Vegas hit band The Killers (he adds additional guitar and keyboards so lead singer Brandon Flowers can prance around a little more freely).

The Killers are the musical group on the season opener of Saturday Night Live tonight (they made an appearance last year also). The band just got back from a whirlwind tour of Europe.

He won't get much face time since he is meant to enhance the live audio and not visual appeal of the band. He will be the shadowy figure next to Ronnie's drum riser and Matt's bass amps.

Ted has known drummer Ronnie Vanucci since high school and played in numerous local bands together before Ronnie hit the big time .

Here's a picture of bro (on the right) with bassist Matt Stoermer horsing around the set of "Weekend Update" while killing time between rehearsals.

Tune in!

Uh, he said in Paris last week that everybody looks to be in shape and alot of businessmen in suits can be seen pedalling their bikes. The car parking situation is real bad there and bikes are popular!:)

Sin - congrats to your brother. I'll have to tune in just to check it out as I'm not familiar with the band.

Also - I gotta move the thread - you want Foo or Music and Entertainment?

Some of the Killers stuff is good, especially compared to the current status quo....
To be panned by Yup posuer scum Rolling Stone can only be considered a complement.

Rolling Stone has been completely worthless as a music mag since the late eighties. What's so heinous about them is that the elder hippy editors seem to be under the delusion that they still have massive radical Leftist street cred, even though their magazine has become nothing but a vacuous billboard for liquor advertisements, i-pods and the fasion industry. Must be some powewrful stuff their smoking.

Anyway, cool about your bro. I've seen Darby O'Gill and liked them very much. I also met The Killers on tour a few years ago, cool guys, and they were nice to me even though I was incredibly high and goofy. Also, The Killers might want to edit their Wikipedia entry.

I saw your bro last night. Good episode. I was even wondering about him back there. Does he mind being behind the amps? Doesn't really seem fair.
But yeah, cool!

He not a big glory hound . Doesn't need to put of with the PR bull ****.

He's 3x the guitarist Dave Keuning, but he's cool with his role!
