Hello Everyone,
I gather this would be a good place to ask a Newbie question on recumbents.
I've read many articles and seen a few bikes. I would like to try to test ride one. I have no ideas as to what type or where to go. I am not sure if I would like to own one although many people say once I try one I won't go back. I just moved to the Atlanta area so I need to look up bike shops. Is there any sugestions as to what types.
I would like to use it for Touring, loaded with all the gear for self supported rides. Also are they good to pull a BOB trailer with or is it better loaded with racks.
Any good web sites with reviews or any other good opinions would be greatly appreciated
Thanks Scott

Try to hook up with members of this club http://www.coolbike.com/arc.htm

Lifted from there web page:

A list of shops listed as selling "bents"

Atlanta Skate Escape Bikes (404) 892-1292
Augusta Chain Reaction (706) 855-2024
Carrollton Perpetual Motion Bicycles (770) 834-3278
Decatur Bicycle South (404) 636-4444
La Grange Golden's Bicycle Shop (706) 884-2420

Peachtree City Bicycles Unlimited (770) 486-9252
Savanah Star Bicycle (912) 927-2430

You can mount racks on most bents, some a harder then others. Or you can pull a trailer I have done both. As far as what type, you need to ride a few and find out what works best for you.
