Went for a ride over (6-8 miles) with my new RB-018 Nitto Bullhorn bars. I love them. I'm not happy with the grip wrap I did, but that can be fixed. The bars felt great although I miss not being able to get on the drops and go aero-like. Now I just need to get my pedals and clips in order and I'll be set. I was at my lbs this morning and saw a few things I'd like to get...seatpost, seat, wheels, tires, etc. etc. etc.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. The weather here in FL is awesome today. This is why we put up with the occasional hurricane ; ) .

What kind of clips do you need? I've got two extra pair of MKS clips I don't use. Trade?

You're goddam right about the weather. I rode to the USF game last night and didn't break a sweat. I'll likely head out again tonight, maybe down to the water or someting.

I have a pair of XL MKS clips. I had ordered the GR-9 MKS pedals and they're way too small. I just need to return them and have the shop send me the Sylvans. What are you riding on?

I'm probably heading down to Da 'Burg tonight. The Redliners are playing at the Bombshell Gallery. My clothing company sponsors the band and I need to drop off some shirts for them to throw out.

Heh, I used to run the exact same setup. I've been riding Eggbeaters for about two months now and don't think I can go back.

Are you bringing your bike down tonight?

Actually just had a change of plans... A buddy is having a few people over so I'm going to skip the show tonight and hang out in Larghetto.

We need to meet up for a ride. Sucks that I'm way out here in Largo. Maybe we can set something up to meet on the Pinellas Trail down at the St. Pete end. It's pretty easy for me to get down there using the trail. It would take forever for me to ride down to da burg. If we do end up meeting one night downtown for some beers I'll have to throw the bike in the truck and then ride it once I get closer. I know DoshKel on here was looking to do a right in the coming week. What do you think?

you can get pretty aero with bullhorns if you drop your elbows and shoulders down... I do it all the time.

Yeah, I have the 42cm RB-021 bullhorns and can still get pretty aero. You need them wider if the aero position is of importance to you so your knees have room to come up when you're hunched over.

The RB-021 have a slight drop to them compared to the RB-018 bullhorns. I can still get down with the 18s, but it's obviously not like the drop bar.
