Tomorrow is suppose to be Beeeaaauutiful! Wifey and I are loading' up the bikes and going somewhere..... now we just gotta figure out where. Fun stuff! We literally do not decide until we get into the car, and sometimes change our minds and take a last minute detour..... but we get our rides in regardless. :D

We've had to endure some pretty nasty weather the last few Sundays, so this will be a great change!

Sounds like a lot of fun! Plus, you'll be able to work off your disappointment at the loss to Ohio State (my adopted alma mater, since I grew up in the Buckeye state and my college didn't have a football team) this evening. :D

Today was supposed to be bad for riding and when my mates phoned up at 8 am and said it was raining- I just told them that I have to go out. It wasn't raining where I am but the clouds did look a bit heavy. Only problem was going to be the wind. That was fairly stiff, but was supposed to get up to around 25MPH. I have to go out as next week I am doing a 65 miler and I definitely wanted to stretch the legs on the road instaed of up on the hills on the MTB. Decided on a straight 10 miles into the wind to get the worst bit over with early on the ride. Down for Coffee and it was not easy. That headwind was a constant high wind. Got to the cafe on the sea front and we would be going East with the wind being a South Westerly. Sitting outside in the sun in a protected area and we did not realise the wind had got up- It was now the 25mph. Got on the bike- pushed off at 3 mph and without pedalling I was accelerated up to 10mph. The wind has gone round a bit. What a good 5 miles we did- No effort whatsoever and 22mph average with ease. Headed back home on the 3rd leg of the triangle and it was fantastic. High hedges protecting the road- Brilliant sunshine and nice and warm.
Didn't get the legs stretched much- but if I had decided to listen to the weatherforecast- I would not have gone out. As it was a good ride except that I was wearing the Goretex as rain was forecast, and it got a bit warm inside it. Incidentally- My ride next week is bad if there is rain and wind. Good job it was not this week as this morning- That area had force 6 winds- with the odd Tornado floating about. We are civilsed over here and have gentle tornados- but I still don't fancy riding in one.
