I found some more info on that "helmet." It is called the "stratosphere" and it is a Rudy Project product. But it is classified as a "cap" because it does not offer the protection required here in the USA. I found it on their web page in the "international" section under helmets.
It looks like it would be a little bit more aero than the typical helmets we here use. I know when I ride I can see in my shadow that my jersey, just behind my head and between my shoulder blades, is flapping in the wind. It seems that the extension on the back of the stratosphere would eliminate this tiny bit of turbulence/resistance. Who knows, maybe this is more resistance than it appears.
I would like to try one of these helmets out but the web page says that they cannot sell them in the USA. Guess I am out of luck.

No. I think you are in luck. Our standards are saving you, and others, from buying a helmet that offers little protection.

I wanted one of these a few years ago and searched around like you are. Won't say where or how I found one, but I will say that they are flimsy as hell and can't do much more than an old hairnet style helmet.

By the way, it sounds like you might need a tighter jersey with a tighter collar.

I hope that didn't sound harsh in any way. You have free choice and can decide what to put on your own head. I just found that when I had that helmet in my hands I was disappointed. It does look cool on TV though.

No that wasn't harsh. I appreciate your reply, now I won't waist my time looking for one. And, yes the jersey is a little too loose in that area.
Thanks, Dekkerfan
