Are you referring to a semi-recumbent, like one of the following? Left - Angletech Harmony (http://www.angletechcycles.com/bikes/tandems/index.htm) & Right Bilenky Viewpoint (http://www.bilenky.com/viewpnt.html)

Hase Spezialrader also offers a semi-recumbent, such as their Pino-Hase semi-recumbent (http://www.hasebikes.com/ens/ttpino/index.php) (Racing model pictured)

I'm not exactly sure which web site you're referring to, but I have maintained a tandem information site for about 6 or 7 years that contains links to various tandem-related information on the Web that is called TheTandemLink: http://www.thetandemlink.com

Here's one that is EASY to ride! A Greenspeed GTT.
I sometimes let my 6 yr old sit up front and I steer and brake from the back seat. He loves that!

Very cool setup Dr. D. I especially like the hi-speed, hi-tec, low drag wind sock :)! The speed sensation must be phenomenal.

The wind sock is to apease the Mom-in-law god! And the speed sensation is very stable (compared to my GTX) and has thus far hit a downhill top speed of 48 mph! Probably could've gone 50 if it weren't for that VERY VISIBLE windsock!
