Mountain Biking - I have a MTB question

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Is it possible to get massive legs like the riders of road bike have? I have a mountain bike, and I was wondering if this was possible, if it is, how long would I have to ride per day in order for it to happen. I ride like 2-3 hrs per day, starting in mid to late April and ride until the snow comes. Any help would be appreciated.

Your biggest obstacal will be genetics. You should also be doing some work in the gym. With out the genetics, cycling alone will not work.

Just to reiterate because I feel like it. DBD is dead on. Genetics play a huge role (check out the massive arnold and compare his legs to his old school competitors...he was a machine in the gym but still had twigs in comparrison to his upper body).
Best of luck :)

Push the biggest gears all the time! Genetics is critical, but pushing big gears will exhaust your muscles to failure, rest a day and do it again!
